Can no longer download media? App just crashes each time I try

doesn’t even fully open - goes to a white screen and then immediately appears to close but stays open in the background. no way to access anything…it’s been a while, pls fix

I have used this app for a long time! I have always loved it! I have no problem posting a new message. Or liking someone else's post, or comment. But, for some reason, I can't share someone else's post! Please fix this!

On the left of the app, the scrolling list of icons for various social apps are not clearly visible. The icons are duplicated and one list scrolls on top of the other. It’s hard to tell where to click for the app you want. In the Blusky screen, when composing a post, the app can suddenly, and for no discernible reason, prevent further typing, deletion, or cursor movement. The post has to be discarded and recreated, only for this infuriating bug to happen over and over again. I contacted the developer, but never received a response. If I can’t create a post, the app is useless to me. One star, would not recommend.

Recently updated, but I am unable to switch between FB profiles now. It also does not block ads like it used to. I can’t use Friendly any more.

When will this be updated ? Been forever

Please update your software regularly. I love the app but if it cant stay updated i will have no choice but to abandon this app. Thank You!!

It is not working anymore

It was a good app but now every time I download it, it automatically kicks me out of the app.

Tried to get on X and it blocked me, this thing stinks. Don’t bother with it. You can’t get on anything.

App closes every time you try to save a photo or video.

The app worked great when I first downloaded it. Now you can’t download anything because it crashes when you try. Sent message through app to tech support but no response.

I can’t use this app anymore fix youtube it laggs on every video, the app is crashing sometimes, I can’t post videos or audio on facebook and instagram story, news feed or as a message to someone.

I quit tiktok a couple years ago because the constant doomscrolling was consuming my life and I felt more free with my time. And then every other social media introduced vertical video so I’m back to where I was before. Anyways in relation to Friendly, this app does what it promises, removes trackers and ads. The only exception I have seen is on Instagram stories, some sponsored posts make it through the filters. A lot of the sponsored posts are from brands I have already seen so I’m not sure if this is something Friendly can fix or if this is something on Instagram itself. But other than that I have no complaints here. The other thing this app offers is that (I don’t have TikTok on here so I can only confirm for Instagram) it disables scrolling! I can’t doom scroll if the function to scroll doesn’t exist!! I love that a lot and I hope it stays like that, because now when I hop on social media, it’s for a fully conscious reason, rather than just habitual. The only other things I would request that I haven’t mentioned is that Friendly should offer the option to receive notifications from the social media apps and have that be forwarded on mobile. Like instead of me keeping the Instagram mobile app just for the notifications, Friendly could just say “you have a notification from Instagram” or something like that so I can remain in contact and not have to think about it. The last thing would be to easily switch between multiple accounts on the same social media without needing to log in multiple times. Like with how easy it is on the main app because the app knows both accounts. I’d be okay with saving that login info to Friendly if it provided that ease of access. Didn’t mean for this to become an essay, but I hope this helps!

This app crashes every time I try to download anything from facebook. The recent changes to the app have made it useless. Unfortunate because it worked well for years.

I had enjoyed this app, and it's been a go-to app for me for quite awhile, but something has happened in the latest updates (spring-summer 2024/2025) - things just aren't loading, aren't working right. Perhaps the app is trying to do too much...or...??? Hope it gets fixed, then I'll give this a 4-5 star rating again - but not now.

I really enjoyed this app for a year, until it completely stopped working. It won't even play YouTube videos in guest mode- it'll skew everything else, including comments and ads, but no video. So disappointed- and really glad I didn't pay for the plus version.

It’s obvious to me that the team who runs this app is very small and might even be ONE person. It’s difficult to not be upset with the poor performance of this app but I try and remember it might literally be one guy reading and fixing every issue. With that being said, this app should NEVER be paid for if it’s not going to be cared for and maintained. For SEVERAL months it’s been almost unusable and we have heard absolutely nothing from the development team. Features no longer work, or even EXIST anymore. I’ve considered paying for the plus version of the app but it also has no support and constant issues. The developer of this app either needs to care more because people are giving them MONEY or the developer needs to abandon the project and maybe even sell it to someone else

Since its update you are no longer able to download videos or pictures from facebook. App is no longer working

This used to be a great app! All it does now is flash and crash when trying to download or save anything. If it ever gets worked out I’ll add a few more stars. What happened?!

Nothing pops up after you tap that all the portrait videos have black on the bottom they’re not full screen needs a major fix once you can fix this. I’ll give it 5 stars. other than these two things it’s a great app.

With the last couple of updates, it is almost unusable, can’t write comments, picture download crashes and other issues

I have used this app for years and now every time I try to download any video the whole app just closes. I deleted the app and redownloaded it and it still keeps logging me out every time I try to download anything. Does anyone know why or have a fix for this? An app is useless if it doesn’t work.

The most can’t-miss feature had always been the ability to download videos - it just crashes nowadays.

This application used to be good, now no more. It goes blank when trying to use it. I turn my phone off and on, the. It works. But now, it will not allow you to download anything. Their customer service is horrible.

No media is detected when trying to save photos/videos. Even when detected, the app crashes every time you try to download them. The settings button doesn’t work on the homepage (i.e. can’t change app appearance or force dark mode.) They “upgraded” the app a month ago…no they didn’t. Don’t bother purchasing the premium version either. It’s useless & doesn’t work either.

for some reason youtube would stop about 15 seconds into every video. i figured i could just delete the app and sign in again and see if that would fix it - nope. now it's completely bricked because google dowsn't let you sign in since the browser "isn't secure." i've been using it for years and now it suddenly has problems

This app always worked amazingly. Recently I am unable to play videos on YouTube. Unsure what else isn't working as it was.

I emailed support for help as to why the app is not working correctly anymore. I have not received any communication from developer. This is disappointing. I may have to delete since one can't post, share, hardly anything now.

With new FB time restrictions, just when we need to get content to save it stopped working. Hope there is a fix and is resolved quickly.

This is like a beta releast with a bunch of huge bugs that haven't been fixed in over a year.

This is basically a read only app. My daughter is able to see her page, but can’t comment or tag anyone.

Why can’t this app ever run smoothly anymore? It crashes every time I try to download a video from Facebook. Inept developers. Don’t waste your money on this horribly-run app.

I have used this app for years. The version they push now does not allow replies or access the … menu. I have sent in three tickets to support. Crickets back. Time to delete and move one.
